Default H1-B holder, apply for GC (only 140 filed), going abroad?

Hi, as in subject, will this be a problem when I come back to US? What
about after I filled I-485?

Thanks in advance!

to enter you will need valid Visa stamp in passport. as your employer has filed I-140 you dont have any problems due to I-140. after you file I-485 you can get EAD AP. It is better to be on H1 status. you can also get H1 extension for 3 years if I-140 gets approved. after I-485 if you use EAD for work then you will invalidate H1 status and need valid AP (filed in US and approved BEFORE you go out) to enter US with AP.
