Greencard Name Change

Hi,

I know that when you get married you are supposed to get a new Greencard with the new name on it, etc.

So... I got married and have a double barrel name. My passport reflects this double name.
Do I need to update the Greencard still, even if the new name contains basically my old one?
450$ is quite some money

What? Where on earth did you get that information? It's totally wrong. There is no obligation whatsoever to get your name changed on your GC.

No.

You might want to carry a copy of your marriage certificate when you travel to reconcile your passport to your green card.
