Default Greencard application and Visa renewal

I want to apply for my green card but I suspect my visa (L1-A) will expire during the application process.

Will it cause a problem if I new my visa during the application process (my fear being it voids the application) or am I best waiting until my visa has been renewed in due course and then submitting a green card application?

As ever, many thanks in advance to the fountains of knowledge.

As soon as your I-485 Adjustment of Status to Permanent Resident application
has been filed, you do not have to maintain your L-1A status anymore.

However, many people continue to maintain their non-immigrant status, so
that in case the AOS process goes awry, they have something to fall back on.
In the other case they would have to leave the US.

Note that if your L-1A status expires, in order to be allowed to work, you
will also have to obtain an Employment Authorization Document, by filing an
I-765 application. This can be done together with the I-485. In addition, if
you want to travel, you will first have to obtain a travel document, called
an Advance Parole. This is done by filing an I-131 application.

No. That does not matter at all. An L-1 visa allows immigration intent, so
the two are not incompatible.
