Default Green Card Received Today!

my official GC arrived in the mail today...a record 17 days after interview! Also, in
two additional separate envelopes, I received TWO "welcome to the US" letters,(not
sure why they sent two) explaining my conditional status and to expect my plastic
card in the next three weeks..heh..

haven't had a chance to read the NG in the last few days (major computer
upgrade...can you say "mobo crash"?) so I am hoping when I scroll down I will see
Beth&Paul and Dave's posting that they got their cards this week too, since we all
had interviews on the same day...if you guys haven't got your cards yet, you might
want to keep an eye on your mailbox tomorrow and Monday!!

My wife received 2 of those letters and others have posted here that they have as
well. It seems they always send 2 for some reason (computer system trouble?)

Conngratulations!

This must be some kind of a record - your case timeline so far & the expedient
receipt of G.C. Keep up the neck breaking pace! I wish that all have such good
fortune with INS.

BTW, where was your G.C. mailed from? Was it the Immigration Card facility in
Arlington TX, Corbin KY, or some other place? I am curious to know as my AOS was
approved in Chicago a couple of weeks back.

Thanks & Lot's of Luck.

thanks, but i think my whole AOS timeline got rushed through somehow because I had
requested a rush on the EAD to begin with, and I think they just decided to get my
case over and done with in a hurry. (though one other NG member had his interview
same day as I did and he had filed only a month before me.) It does looks like from
other posters in my area (Dave, ms_bhon, and Omo) the time between the interview and
the receiving of the actual green cards were the same amount of time. If i remember
right, Omo (if i am wrong about the name, i apologize!) got hers (his?) within 3
weeks of the AOS interview, and Dave and ms_bhon's interviews were the same day as
mine and they have both posted that they got their cards Friday as well. All of us
had filed with VSC and had our interviews in Baltimore MD. The postmark on my welcome
letter is from St. Albans VT, and the postmark on the GC envelope is from Corbin KY,
both mailed the same day.

good luck

17 days? They told me it would take at least 9 months! You must have been lucky.....
I hope I receive it within the first year so I don't have to go back and get another
I-551 stamp.

Wow, that's an impressive timeline. I've been waiting 4 months for my card & I might have to wait 12 months.

Congratulations

hey, it wasn't just me that got it in 17 days..both Dave and ms_bhon got their cards
same day, and they interviewed at the Baltimore office on the same day as I did. Must
be a Baltimore/VSC thing?
