Green Card Holder sponsor fiancee
I am a british citizen holding a US Green Card. I obtained my
permenant resident status in January 2001 and am therefore eligible
for citizenship in 2006. I am engaged to a citizen of the philippines
and am wondering what is the quickest way for her to be with me in the
USA. I am currently planning on filing an N-470 to preserve my
resident status for naturalisation purposes and moving to the
philippines for the next 2 years (as my company has an office over
there). This would enable me to spend the next 2 years with my fiancee
before returning to the USA to become a US citizen. The problem then
is that I will not be able to bring my fiancee with me to the USA
until I am a US citizen (at least 6 months once I have returned to the
USA) and I am also worried about losing my eligibility for citizenship
even though I will have obtained a re-entry permit and filed the
N-470.
Please could someone tell me what is the quickest and safest way for
me to be bring my fiancee to the USA, without us having to be away
from my beloved for extended periods of time. We just want to be
together and it seems crazy that visa problems are likely to keep us
apart.
Also, please can someone tell me how reliable the N-470 is? If I file
it, am I guaranteed to still be eligible for citizenship? What happens
if my company closes or 'lets me go' within the next 2 years and I
fail to return to the US immediately?
Regards

Help Spouses of Green Card Holders
Hi ,
I do not know see much things that you can do. Here are some of hard things that I think you can do to reduce the pain.
1. Stay in Philipines for two years.
2. Bring her here in F1 Visa
3. Bring her to Canada in student visa or whatever and find a job in Detriot and let her live in windsor.
4. There are two bills pending , upon approval will releive the pain , Please support it.
