Green Card / failing company question

My company sponsored Green Card application is in it's final phase. I recevied the
receipts for the following at the end of Dec 2000:

* Application to adjust permanent resident status (I485)
* Application for employment authorisation (I765)
* Application for INS travel document (I131)

I'm currently just waiting for things to be approved but my company is having difficulties
and I wondered what my options are if the company goes under.

I've been told that there is a time period during where I would have to start again at the
I-140 stage if the worst happened.

After this date, it doesn't matter what happens to the company - I'll still get my GC - I
may have to pay any remaining legal fees myself but I won't have to resubmit.

Is this correct or does my company still have to be in existence up to (and after ???)
everything is completed?

Thanks for any advice.
