Hi,
Any Indian born Australian citizens working on E3 in UAS applied for Green Card and traveled out of country to attend interview at American Consulate in India and returned safely to USA?
if anybody out there please share your experiences........

You'd be better off applying for an I-129 extension, then you don't even have to leave the country to reapply? You can travel again once you get the GC.
Just by applying for I-129 you still get the "240 day rule".
