Default GOT MY CONDITIONAL PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD FROM SAN ANTONIO INS!

Hell group,

Just wanted to let you guys know that we went to SAN ANTONIO on
08/01/02 for my AOS interview, eventhough I live in Houston. They said they will do
the interview and will only transfer the file to Houston if I was not approved
or any other reason.

Any way, We went in One hour early and they told me and my wife to come back
because they were running little late and our appointment was not till 1:15pm. Any
way, we went back and me, my wife and the attorney all waited in the waiting room
for about an hour.

Then, the nice officer called our name and took us upstairs with him. He was the
nicest guy we have ever met.

He did not ask me any questions other than,

(09). Have you ever committed any crimes?

He was so nice that we were out of there with my CPR stamp within 15 minutes.

He is an asset to the INS. He knew the city I came from in India. Eventhough he was
not an Indian, and the city was so small and that really surprized me. He told us not
to forget to apply for I-751 in two years. He took my wife's and my joint tax return
for 2001. and updated the file.

He congratulated us for our nicely arranged file and all the attachments and he said
that the only thing he hates is that when he has to look for each document.

He said that we made his life so easy and he will try to get us out as quickly as
possible and we were out in 15 minutes. He escorted us to the elevator and
congratulated me and came in the elevator down stairs and said "CELEBRATE and have
some MARGARITAS" (Can you believe it?)

He also said that our card will come to our HOUSTON home address in 3 to 6 months.

What a nice guy?

Our time line:

filed AOS paperwork : 12/17/2001 received recipt & EAD appointment : 02/12/2002
received EAD card : 02/26/2002 (didn't take more than 5 minutes) received finger
print notification: 03/11/2002 fingerprint completed : 03/31/2002 moved to Houston :
05/13/2002 submitted (AR-11, I-865, C.O.A) : 05/13/2002 Received AOS Interview letter
: 07/23/2002 AOS Interview : 08/01/2002 (most painless process ever!)

I am done guys.! can you believe it?

Keep your hopes! SAN ANTONIO INS ROCKS! they are fast and they are nice.

Hey, great news about them conducting the interview for you and your attorney. They
did not have to do that, but I'm glad they did (I'm not saying that having your
attorney there had anything to do with their decision, however they might have
thought you paid your attorney to be there so that "might" [but also maybe not]
have had something to do with it). Sounds like you also had a great officer. They
are not all bad.

Congratulations.
