Well thanks all. Personally I like Cointreau and Grand Marnier too... I was just thinking of an ordinary sort of bank really for day to day spending, bills etc. I have NatWest right now in the UK, and have been into the branch maybe two or three times in the last five years, so I don't expect to know the bank manager. Just somewhere that will manage my money without imposing too many charges, with decent customer service when I have to ring them up - ie people who a)pick up the phone and b) speak understandable English and a good online service. Oh, and I really want to open it before I leave the UK (I want to transfer money whilst exchange rates are so high).
