Default GC Wait time after conditional status is lifted by CSC

All,

Do you guys have any input on what's the average wait time for receiving
greencard after conditional status is lifted. I got my approval letter on May
18 and I haven't received greencard yet. I spoke to Helen @ CSC and she
informed that I don't need INFOPASS since I had already sent 2 pictures and
my card was waiting to get scanned.

I would like to know if I still need to go make an INFOPASS to speed up the
process of receiving greencard by giving new pictures or my initial pictures
are good for scanning.I guess I am just paranoid. Has anyone recieved
greencard after conditional status is lifted with out interview and with out
making an INFOPASS and submitting new pictures.

June and other folks can you please advise.

Thanks a lot
Sal

I waited for five months before following up on the new green card.

Hi Rodeo,

One of two things will happen. You'll either get your GC in the mail, or you'll get a letter with instructions to go to the local office via Infopass. You won't know which way yours will pan out, until you receive something in the mail either way. What happens in other people's cases is not really an indication of what will happen in your case.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Hi Sal,

My husband received his new 10 year GC on 6/2/06, 3 weeks (5/12/06) after his infopass appointment to bring in photos & process the CRI-89 adit card. His approval letter informed him that he needed to make an infopass appointment since it was not required to send in photos at the time he submitted his I-751 on 8/17/05.

I would wait one month after the receipt of your approval letter then I would schedule an infopass appointment. Bring in some more photos, your passport, and your I -751 approval letter (Make sure you make a photocopy of it because they will take it). Have them stamp your passport with the I-551 stamp & write next to the stamp I-F1, the date your I-751 was approved the date your CRI-89 adit card was processed which would be the date of your infopass appointment, & the date that you originally became a PR. Let me know if you get your GC or if you decide to go in for an infopass appointment. Good luck & let me know if I can help you in any way.

Fondly
June

Sending in the two pictures is not quite all it takes. They also want your old green card. Did you return that to them already with the I-751 or through an RFE. If not then make the Infopass appointment, bring two photos, your passport and the approval letter and have them complete the I-89 for the new 10 year card.

Hi Sal,
I got my approval letter around the same time as you. I have sent them
photos along with my original application, but I decided to make
Infopass. I went there and the lady told me that despite the fact that
I have sent pictures, they want new ones. So I gave them two new
pictures and then she asked for my old green card and passport. You
NEED to go and get your passport stamped. I have read your old posts
before I went to my appointment and I specifically asked her is it
possible to get the card without coming for Infopass. She told me NO
WAY!

So please go to their office. You don't want to waste more time.

Regards,

Julieta

This is also what Dekkie's letter instructs, even though we too sent 2 pictures in with the application. This time we have to go to San Jose with 3 pictures and his passport. The letter doesn't expressly say that he has to surrender his current green card, but I assume that when he shows up, they will confiscate it (since the letter is careful to say that he should not travel unless he gets his passport stamped, since the GC will be "in the mail.")

Hi All,

Thanks for all the information. I went to USCIS today to get ADIT processed
with 3 new pics. They stamped my passport and informed me that card should
arrive in 6-8 weeks.

Can those folks who recently got their 10 year card advise me, how long it
took to receive card after the INFOPASS appointment from California Service
Centre?

Thanks so much
-Sal
