GC lottery win questions

Re: GC lottery win questions
The medical company is clear on their website that the medical must take place before the interview
https://visamedicals.co.uk/united-states/
Are they incorrect?

If there were a way for her to safely talk with some to change the date of the visa interview appointment, she should do that but you said that there isn't a way. Thus, she needs to go on the scheduled date.

In the future, please have the friend who is seeking advice join and ask the questions themselves. It is not encouraged that someone act as an agent for someone else.

The medical site uses the word 'should'. In this case, that is not possible.

I know that OP is the author. My comment simply notes what might be considered an echo of language I have long noted from government and been annoyed by.

In the video I linked she mentions that she did not think the Frankfurt Consulate would have her medical results when she went for her interview. They did and her visa was approved on the spot. If not it would have been approved pending a positive medical report. Granted she's reporting her experience, not official procedure.

Re: GC lottery win questions
So my friend rang the embassy and they said she must move the interview until after the medical. They gave her an email address at the embassy to email to ask for it to be moved. So my friend has now requested this.
Given the Christmas holiday period and given the interview is on the 7th, I wouldn't be surprised if she does not get a response before then.
I have suggested to her that if she does not get a response she attend the interview on the 7th regardless.
I dont suppose anyone knows what would happen if she missed the interview (no show)? Would they then allow her to reschedule?
(She is not intending to do that, but it would at least be useful to know what the consequences would be if that happened.)

And just to clarify: with a visa denial can she apply again, or is that it for the green card lottery?

Don't you find the email a little contradictory? First it says that the "no show" request will be reviewed, and once approved a new appointment can be scheduled. But doesn't that leave open the possibility that it might not be approved, even though they then go on to say that it won't affect the visa application?!
