FormsHome.com: Secure? INS-approved? Legal?

I know that some of you have utilized the technology at www.formshome.com to complete
various INS applications. It's a great idea and I'd like to take advantage of it. However:

*When transmitting sensitive information such as social security number, addresses, tax
information...is their website secure?

*What happens to ones information when the form is so-called generated? Is is "stored" on
a server somewhere?

*Is this website and its technology INS-approved?

*Will utilizing FormsHome.com detract from the "legal" nature of the document itself?

I would appreciate some help.

Thank you. -Amy

Why don't you ask the owners of the website these very questions? Any answers regarding
someone else's website given by NG members here have to have come from the source. The
owners of the site have been here before and seem upfront.

FYI, if you use the net for buying anything what security do you really have. As for INS
approved, INS only approves its own site for d/l forms that you file in outside of the
computer, i.e. by hand, typewriter. As long as the form is the correct version of the
current INS form, there is nothing for them to approve. Not just this site, but several
sites, are offering this service and from much more money. Jonathan, a NG regular, offers
it for free.

If you are doubtful about using the site, then just d/l from the INS official site and
hand complete the forms and use them that way.

I sent the link for www.formshome.com to the INS to see what they think, and I've
decided that though it might be a great service that hasn't detracted from the
"validity" of an INS document for others, that for my own piece of mind, I'll play it
safe and get the forms straight from the INS. Great suggestion, I think I'll go straight
to the source afterall.

This newsgroup and sites such as FormsHome are new to me (as well as dealing with the
INS), so I am sure you can understand why I would have these questions. Thank you for your
insight. -A [email protected]

You don't transmit any data, you download the form and fill it out.

Use them if you like the service, no problems foreseen.

MacDonald's is new to me. I am going to call the BBB before I buy any fries. Just because
they are new to you doesn't mean that you need to go sending the URL to INS. I think that
INS knows what is out there, they check my site quite often.

Why would INS want to check your site? How do you know that they do anyway?

I read my logs. Who knows why they would want to check it. They spider every page.
