Flying to USA on ESTA while appointment for visa pending
Hey everyone,
I am in a mess and need help.
I have my best friends wedding next week which I have booked for on my ESTA. Now my company has informed me I have an interview date for a special sports visa P1 at the embassy.
Can I fly to USA on my ESTA while I have an appointment pending? I don't wan't to get turned away and miss this wedding but also mess up my sports event and not be allowed to enter in the future.

Yes, this is allowed.

Yes. They may not even be aware you have an application pending. If they are, simply tell the truth.
