Default Fingerprint question N400

Wife had her fingerprints taken on April 6th for her N400Case, today April 23rd
we receive notice from Nebraska service center(we have been dealing with
Vermont) that the FBI was unable to process the fingerprints so we must go
again for new ones. Anyone have similar experience or understand why the
first set couldnt be processed? Thanks

Hi:

It happens from time to time -- I have one client where he has gone in 4 times and they have been unable to get readable prints.

It's been mentioned before in this group that hand lotion can affect the
quality of prints. Make sure you wash your hands before giving prints.
