Hi,
I received a fingerprint notification in the mail today. Even though they only
accepted the I-485 3 weeks ago. Is it normal that this arrives so soon?
Not that I'm complaining, I'd just like to know where I'm at in the timeline cos I
read a lot of people have the interview close to the interview.
Thanks,

Generally, the fingerprints must be done within a year of the interview. So it could
be several months yet before you get an interview. Alvena See the Doc Steen site
here: http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/...o/visainfo.htm I am not a lawyer,
and this is not immigration advice. The information I provide is mostly gleaned from
old newsgroup posts and visa links on the internet. If you want or need a lawyer, go
to: http://www.aila.org
