Default From Fingerprint to Interview-- How long?

The subject header says it all. My wife had her fingerprint date
today, 7/25/06, in Cranston, RI, how long before she gets an interview
date?

Thanks

If you look at this site: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/js...ectedOffice=60 it seems that Providence RI has about a 7-month processing time.

Not sure how much the fingerprint date comes into play (I'd say it's more from the date you filed). But if you count from July 2006, I'd speculate the interview will come before February 2007. Of course each case is different, and the offices may slow down or speed up processing, so your mileage may vary.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Niraj if we were all able to know how long it would be inbetween the 2
we would be mind readers but we arent. EVERYONE is different. My
fingerprints were taken an the following week was my interview...where
my friend was fingerprinted in Feb and her appointment is next month.
I hope this gives you an indication that USCIS that doesnt have any
consistantance. Just sit back an patiently wait. It will happen when
USCIS is ready :)

Just so you know. Some people here got fingerprinted, waited a year, and
got another fingerprint letter! In our case, a year after the second
fingerprint appointment we got our interview for AOS. I assume if we
hadn't gotten the interview we would have had to submit a third set of
fingerprints.
Every case is different. Every timeline is different. Every center is
different.

Niraj,
Keep in mind with it being so close between the dates their could be a
delay in the process as her name check may not be back. But it also
could be back. Just keep a open mind. I had my fingerprints an
interview within a week of each other an my name check is still pending
over 14wks now
Best of luck
