Default Finger Prints Expired

My finger prints for AOS were taken in March of 2003. I just came to know
that after 15 months, they are no longer valid. How can I request a second
finger print appointment?

If I recall correctly, it is not the fingerprints that expire after 15 months, it is the results of the background check based on those fingerprints. Since they do not keep the prints on file, if your background check expires and they have to redo your background check, that's when they ask you to come back in and be re-fingerprinted.

I don't think you can request another fingerprint appointment - they will contact you if they need you to do it again.

You can call the USCIS customer service number, but I wouldn't bother if
the FPs have already expired. They'll reschedule you automatically.

I wish you had realized it after 13 months, before the prints expire. When
I got my GC, I called USCIS about six weeks before the prints expired and
requested politely but insistently another FP appointment. The immigration
information officer reluctantly agreed to forward my case to an officer to
arrange the new FP appointment. Instead, two weeks later I had my approval.
