Default Finger Print Appt. is the waiting time long?

This may sound strange, but I have a finger print appointment in New York on a school
day for which three finals have been scheduled. It is vital for me to know whether or
not there are waiting times to have finger prints taken (or perhaps the office runs
on a strict schedule). However after calling INS I've been informed me that waiting
time could be from 0 to 2+ hours. Is that true?

Your help is most appreciated, Thank you.

It's true, waiting time is unpredictable.

U believe they open at 8am? Are you going to the Varick Street one? I had an
appointment there on Mar. 4, 2002, and my appointment was 10am, but I had to get back
to work by 9:30am to attend a company meeting. So I went there a little over 8am, I
was in less than 30 min.

That's why you might want to consider going in early. My appointment was 10am, and I
got there at 8:15am, no one complaint, and I was done within 20 min.

San Diego office won't let you go in early if you have appointment time, he didn't
let me in and ask me come back 15 minutes prior to appointment time.
