Fees.
I filed my I-485 when the old fees were in force. The BCIS has sent my papers
back asking for the new fee, an extra $99.

Hi there,
What day did you actually send it in? Did you get a confirmation of delivery and if so, what was the date of that.
We sent ours in on Feb 26 and it was received by the then INS on Feb 27. The BCIS/INS website stated that if the package was postmarked on or before the 27th, they would accept the lower fee. We haven't heard back from them yet, so perhaps I should be expecting my package back in the mail.
Please let me know the dates and good luck with the process

Re: Fees.
I sent my AOS application with a check for $420 (normally $555) on Feb
18th to the Greer, SC office. I haven't heard from them yet either.
Nor has my check been cashed. Mind you, I sent my petition by regular
US Mail (not certified mail) so I can't say when, if at all, my
package was received by BCIS/INS.
Back on Jan 24th, I mailed the same AOS petition with a check for
$555. And on Feb 7th, my application was returned due to incorrect
check amount (they wanted LESS money - $420 and NOT the $555 I had
submitted). Hard to believe but true!!!

Re: Fees.
I have a mail reciept of delivery from 8 February. That was to Texas, they sent
the papers back and I posted them to the Jacksonville office. Jacksonville
posted them back asking for the fingerprint fees. Then Jacksonville sent them
back asking for the new fees.

Re: Fees.
For those of you interested, I got a letter yesterday, March 31st,
from the Greer, SC INS office regarding the AOS application I
submitted on February 18th.
They want me to come to the Greer, SC in two weeks to process my I-765
(employment authorization). I was always under the impression that one
goes to the Charleston, SC field office to process the employment
authorization but then again, I am just glad that my AOS application
didn't get rejected and sent back to me again!

HI,
We have yet to hear from the SF office. We mailed it in on Feb. 26. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

FYI
I mailed my application on Feb 4th with the lower fees to the San Francisco office. They accepted it and I received a receipt along with paperwork for EAD and AP on March 26th

Bao-Long,
When do you have the appointments for EAD and AP? Just want to get an idea, how long it takes after you get the receipt.
Thanks in advance.
