Fax # for the CSC Please help
I have not been able to find the fax number to the California Service
Center. I would like to send a fax, and find out what is going on with my K1 visa case. Thanks in advance for your help. :) :) |
Re: Fax # for the CSC Please help
I once upon a time I found the fax number somewhere on the INS web site. I
faxed them a few times (Re:K-1 also) but never ever received any sort of response. Sorry don't remember exactly where or what the number was. Probably best to be patient. After all the more time spent reading faxes and ignoring them and answering phone calls, the less time to process aps. Good luck "Americanparuski" wrote in message news:[email protected]... > I have not been able to find the fax number to the California Service > Center. Thanks in advance for your help. :) :) I know that CSC has published its fax numberS. Note the plural. If you are more than 30 days beyond the processing time on the latest processing time report [see Udall's site or www.ilw.com], send a fax to Division I -- they do respond fairly quickly. If you have no response within 2 weeks, you can then an e-mail inquiry to the appropriate e-mail address in Division XII. This system was set up in October and so far -- seems to work IF you FOLLOW the guidelines. |

[i I have 5 fax numbers for you: 1. (949) 389-3482 2. (949) 389-3486 3. (949) 643-1538 4. (949) 389-3402 5. (949) 389-3007 Good luck. Don't you think you should give accurate information? I didn't give the numbers before because I didn't have them handy. Of the five numbers, one is not listed as a valid fax number to the CSC, one is a TELEPHONE number for EMERGENCIES, and a third is for applications other than family petitions. You do give the proper inquiry line and the right Division XII line. I know that when I pick up a phone I get very irriated to have a fax machine sreaming the handshaking signals. If CSC is good enough to set up an emergency phone in the first place, who are you to give it out as a bloody fax line? After your first fax inquiry, you should wait. The CSC says the following about inquiries to Division XII -- "After fifteen days, you may contact the California Service Center, Division XII for assistance. When yo contact Division XII, please be prepared to answer the following questions: 1. When did you make your first inquriy? 2. What fax line di you send it to OR how did you make the inquiry 3. Have you spoken with any INS officer concerning this inquiry/case? 4. If so, whom and when? 5. What guidance did you recieve?" The second inquiry can be made either by fax or to the appropriate Division XII e-mail address withOUT attachments. |

I am me. I got the number. There is no law saying that I cannot say what that number is. Who are you to tell me that I cannot pass along information that I've gotten from the National INS information line (IIRC)? You're a lawyer. You don't like it then sue me! But I doubt that any judge would convict as I said I was merely passing along the fax numbers that were given to me (and I am quite sure that all of those numbers received faxes at one time in the past. Perhaps the INS changed them. There is no way for me to know). If the fax number is wrong well then don't shoot me - shoot the National INS information line for giving out the wrong number! Geeze! > After your first fax inquiry, you should wait. You know I did the fax thing properly as per the rules in effect at the time and you know what? It didn't work! At all. The final option was supposed to be to call a number to ask why your fax has been ignored for 30 days! When I finally got through that line (constant redialing) I was told in no uncertain terms that this line was only for ALIA attorneys, quite contrary to the initial instructions that I followed faithfully once before (IOW 60+ days of waiting. After the first round I was unable to get through the final 4th number and gave up. I'd say about 2 weeks latter I decided the resurect this fax thing for another try and after plowing through I was just a bit more persistant on the "call this number to speak to somebody about why they have not responded to your previous faxes" part only to be turned away because I was not an ALIA attorney). You know I played by their rules before and they don't even follow their own rules. Do not expect me to follow the rules of some crazy organization who cannot even follow them themselves! That's foolish to fall for these stupid, contrived waiting games that they cook up. This is my opinion - YMMV. > -- > Certified Specialist > Immigration & Nat. Law > Cal.
