I am an international f1 student.I started at a university in August
2006. 3 weeks prior to the end of this semester i had flu, missed 2
weeks of school and my end of semester exams. I am transfering to a new
university. I completed the required documentation at my old
university. My new university complained that my previous university
was being unco-operative and extremely difficult, refusing to send my I
20 and other required documents.
My new university gave me a new I 20 which during the next twelve weeks
I understand I have to leave and re-enter the country even if for only
one day to activate it.
However my previous university has now amazed me by only giving me 9
credits not my 12 credits I was expecting. I am at a loss to understand
how they can do that when I attended classes and missed very few due to
illness.
I understand I can have "initial admit on my new I 20. or take and
extra class to make this semester 15 credits in order to add three to
last semester.
I feel very unhappy that my previous uni has done this and would like
to know if you know of any appeal procedure?
