F1 student now Green Card holder - do I need I-20 any more ?
Hello Chaps,
I have been living in the US for 8 years now. For the last Six
years I have been here on an F1 Student Visa. My wife and I are UK
citizens, my Wife and I applied for Green cards last year, my Wife as a
distinguished professor and myself as her dependent. My Wife's card was
approved after 2 months (May 2006) and I have just learned that I have
also been approved. I am still a student and completing my PhD. Does my
Green Card mean that I no longer need to have the
I-20 or are these unrelated ? Am I still regarded as an overseas
student ?
Cheers
Jim

As a PR, you don't need an I-20 anymore.
