gREETINGS... iam currently on an F1 visa and my wife is here on a f2 visa and she just found a job with a company but its not like a professional type job just a store clerk. Well she doenst have a tax security number. I was doing a bit of research on this and found out if I was on a J1 visa and she on a J2 visa she can work on the dependent J2 visa . the problem is will it give me enough of a reason to change status ... just so that my wife can work- thanks for any replies. By the way my student F1 visa is just that -Im studying law not a research scholar etc.
