Default f1--h4--ead

Hi,

I am on f-1 right now but i want to drop spring semester but that will invalidate my f-1. My husband has applied GC(I-485) and we are expecting EAD in 2-3 months....
1) Do my out-of-status for 1-2 months can effect out GC
2) Should i transfer my visa from F-1 to H-4 and what forms to fill out for transfer or since we applied for I-485 that is okay to maintain status.
3) If i take the spring semester and my f-1 remains good. Does F-1 will still remain valid even after i got EAD

Thanks

Did you also file an I-485 based on his? If so, your F-1 has already
ended. That's good news because you no longer need to worry about
maintaining status. You should tell your international student advisor so
they can update the SEVIS system.

If you did NOT file your own I-485, then it would indeed affect a later
application for a Green Card.

You can change to H-4 if you want. There would be very limited benefits,
though, at this point. The form would be I-539.

See above. The F-1 ends when you file an I-485, and already is not good.

Thanks a lot for ur response.....I have few more questions:
1) If my husband is out of job before getting GC or EAD, and since as u told i am already out of F1, will it will be possible for me to go back to F1 and what is the procedure(do i need to get i-20 again)?
2) If we get our EAD, will i wil be applicable for federal funding or it is only for GC/permanent resident?
3? Once we get EAD Will i will still be applicable for TA/RA?

Thanks
