I agree with this. The British Government are seriously negligent when it comes to health screening.

It does make for a fair process for everyone. At least, they try. Clearly there's some quality difference between doctors!

Well, those coming from Britain should be OK because there should be a medical at some point before they get British citizenship, although it wouldn't surprise me if there were no such requirement.

They could ask people to read a map. That would be a much less intrusive way to find out the gender.
