ESTA DENIED

Hi

I am new here so please forgive for repetitiveness - if my story has been mentioned.

I was denied F1 visa in 2009 - so i did my studying here in London instead. I am married and have been working for my local council for 10 years. Because i have waited so long to re-apply i though my travel would be authorised under estam but it wasn't.

can you guys advise from experience if i sould get a lawyer to help me apply for the tourist visa or go ahead alone, i am asking this due to being denied the visa and now the esta.

For which reason(s) were you denied an F1?

Normally there is not a lot a Lawyer can add to a Visitor Visa application.

Your situation may not be normal.

Are you a UK citizen?

You don't need a lawyer to apply for a B-2 visa... it's a fairly straight-forward application - and, since ESTA has already been denied, there's not much to lose other than the application fee.

I presume you declared the visa denial on the ESTA application? Personally, I would gather up evidence of ties to the UK (there are numerous threads covering this here), and apply for a B1/B2 visa. You have nothing to lose bar the application fee.
