Which eligibility category to choose for EAD I-765
Hi,
I'm real confused on which eligibility category to use for my I-765, please help!
We are applying for EB-1-C from L-1A with forms I-140 and I-485 filed. which is the eligibility category for the EAD application for:
1. Myself as primary beneficiary
2. My wife
3. My dependent (age 20)
We are all in the US and applying for EAD/AP because we think we have to but am not 100% sure. I also read that there is no fee when filed with I-485, does that sound right?

I wish! Circumstances forced us to file without an attorney - not something I would do or advise unless put in a corner with no other option.

Thanks S Folinsky, (c)(9) - Adjustment Applicant under Section 245--(c)(9). File Form I-765 together with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, or if filing separately, submit a copy of your I-485 receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485 is pending.
Is it wishful thinking that there is no additional fee?

I think that I may have the answer, can someone confirm that I am correct in that there are no fees for a (c)(9) with a I-485?

Correct, no fee. You don't HAVE to do it but it's free and it gives you options if your visa expires (and lets your 20 year old work if they want to) so it would be silly not to.
Make sure you file form I-131 for Advance Parole too so you get a combo card.

I d/l the instruction booklet and read through the appropriate pages and came up with the same code but wonder why he did not file for his and his family's EAD's at the time of filing the I-485. BTW OP, you do know that it is one I-765 for each individual.

Thanks Olly and Rete.
I did file the I-765 and I-131 at the same time as the I-485 but got the wrong code and the I-765s were rejected because I did not have the correct payment. 4 inches of paperwork and several weeks of effort, I was gutted to find that I had made such a dumb mistake but that is why I would normally use a professional. Thankfully everything else was accepted, now the wait.
