Comment -- from what OP posted, I see TWO lottery entries, not just one.

Just saying.

There is no way in hell any brit would be given asylum. I remember the case of the 2 bnp members who claimed they were being persecuted in England because they couldn't practice there racist views without arrest and the scousers that entered in the back of the camper in North Dakota van on the run from liverpool drug dealers something like 2006 i think it was. They sent them all packing.

If they give one brit asylum they have to give it to everyone. They would get millions of applications. They may as well make England the 51st if they are gonna do that. The only way a brit would get asylum is if they did something in favour of america causing problems for that person in england and their safety couldn't be gauranteed as a result but I can't imagine what that would be.

Guys it was tongue in cheek! Just like the op had the zany and ludicrous suggestion of pumping a baby out on US soil and hoping that would ensure a GC I chucked an equally zany and ludicrous idea at him instead!

scrubbedexpat099 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Electrician wanting to move to USA + any loopholes?

Effectively the OP is looking to become an economic migrant, so is no different to the vast majority of asylum seekers.

Yet they have never given asylum to anyone fleeing the IRA, Ulster Unionists whatever and there are plenty of people who have been told to get the beep out of northern ireland over the years by masked men with guns. Because again if they give it to one the have to give it all.I met an irish bartender from Belfast in nyc first time i ever went like 10 years back now who had been in new york for like 6 years he said the ira told him to get the hell out put a gun in his mouth. He told me he was illegal and he didn't care about not having documents

Quite ironic to give asylum to bonafide terrorists asylum should be for those in fear of their safety not those whose presence would raise safety issues!

I was going to comment that, why would someone in fear of their safety want asylum in the most heavily armed country on earth. All our daily drive by shootings, random mass shootings, and not forget that the term "going postal" started here. And oh yes sarcasm on...sort of.
