EB5 - American Life
Has anyone that invested in the Marriott project had their 1-526 approved yet? I am under the impression that they have not processed any applications yet as they are going to be asking American Life for further information on the project.
We filed at the end of August and I know there were a few people on here that filed before us.

Apparently the USCIS received a huge number of applications for visas/renewals in the summer. According to their website they are now dealing with applications received on the 19th August. (Their site was updated on the 15th Feb). We were told that that initial stage would take around 5 months for them to complete processing but it seems because of volume this will be a few months longer.

I also heard that American Life had received certain requests from USCIS for further information and were confident they could deal promptly with those requests. I guess you'll soon see.

We're still waiting on USCIS too.
We just received a mail today from American Life requesting that we sign a form accepting that we will not receive our investment back if the visa is not approved. Did anyone else get the same mail?

I don't think that's quite the case. The email said you would still get your money back if the conditional green card was not issued. It said the USCIS wouldn't allow Am Life to give it back to you if the conditions attached to the green card were not removed and your green card was revoked. You would still be free to sell the investment if that were the case.

Congrats on finally receiving your approval! We applied the end of September through American Life so we are now hopeful that we will soon get our approval....unless the whole program is cancelled on Tuesday!
