Default EAD Expiration - When to renew?

Hi All,

I received my Employment Authorization Document back in Oct. of 2002. I was
wondering what steps I have to take to get a new one issued before the
current one expires.

Any replies helpful.

Thanks in advance.

If the EAD was employment-based, file an I-765 with the BCIS Service Center
where your I-485 was filed, and include copies of the I-140 approval, I-485
receipt notice, and previous EAD. I would file it about 6 months before the
expiration of the prevous EAD.

If it wasn't employment-based, let us know the details.
