EAD Appointment questions

Hi there, I have a dillema, ...pleaseeeee help me.
I applied AOS (I'm H1B and my wife is USC). Today I got the appointment letter for EAD,
but on the same day
(2/6/01), I will be in training (out of state).
So I don't know what should I do... Can I reschedule that appointment? It didn't mention
about how to reschedule on the letter.
But it has the sentence: "If you miss this appointment, you may present yourself at the
counter prior to noon on any future date.
Does it mean that I can come on any date after 2/6/01?
Please give me some advice. Oh by the way I'm in Oregon, so the office is in the
Portland, OR.
Thanks a lot for your advice.

I don't see the confusion. It says you can come "on any future date" if you miss your
appointment. How many ways can this be interpreted?

It can be interpreted in two ways:
1) You can appear at the counter on any future date to reschedule.
2) You can appear at the counter on any future date and have the EAD card done
at your convenience.
Unfortunately I can't give a good solid answer to this question either.
