To clarify, almost all visas are dual intent whether it's specified or not. Just because dual intent is not specifically allowed, it doesn't follow that dual intent is specifially prohibited.

Can a person on a TN visa adjust status? I haven't heard it happening. Neither have I heard of anyone on an E2 visa.

[QUOTE=Noorah101;10755355]That doesn't really narrow it down. California has both small towns and big cities. What do you consider "normal"?

What about Irvine. Is it OK to live in?
Thanks,

I'm sure many people think Irvine is okay; but I'm also sure that other people wouldn't want to live there.

It doesn't matter what we think... it only matters what you think. Do you think it's an okay place to live? If you don't know anything about the place, I suggest that you use Google and find out. You might also want to check www.city-data.com.

But most of all - do your own research, and don't rely on others to do it for you.

Isn't it a bit too soon to be the cart before the horse. It would appear the OP hasn't even found a job posting let alone a willing sponsor.

While your GC is in processing, if you need to renew your E3 then there is a chance that USIC may reject your renewal as E3 is not dual intent.

wow i haven't posted here in years and apologies for necro bumping this thread

Ian is correct - I've also successfully adjusted status from E-3 -> GC via marriage. I filed for AOS back in November 2010, Conditional GC was issued in Feb 2011, conditional status was removed and new 10 yr GC issued in June 2013.
