Default E2 visa queries

Hi.
I am trying to gather requirements for the E2 visa and believe I have everything I need (and possibly more) to move forward with this.

for those of you who have successfully gone through the process and your current position, I have some questions:

1) I understand that you need to take on people to work for your company that you establish. Is there a min amount? What about hiring freelancers/contractors?

2) Office space - is this a necessary requirement? I work in the technology industry and you can virtually work from anywhere so sometimes to have an office is an overkill and extra unneeded expense but a virtual office is just as good.

3) how can one go from E2 to a greencard out of curiosity? is there such a path?

4) how do you market your business and get your customers and clients successfully?

thank you!

Has your attorney not covered this yet?

I don't believe so, no.

There is no direct route from an E-2 to a GC.

4) how do you market your business and get your customers and clients successfully?
With respect, if you don't know the answer to this, you likely shouldn't even be in business.

Depends on the business. My husband is a self-employed, sole proprietor of his own business, and he does zero advertising. He gets 100% of his clients via word-of-mouth.

That is highly unusual, though, I'd say.

Depends on the business. For me, scientific products, so I visit Universities, National Labs, Military/Defense, Private Research Organisations etc and many trade shows every year.

If you need any input let me know. If you have a unique product/service that's one thing but many new business folk underestimate start up and running costs, tax issues, regulatory fees and of course the cutthroat competition.
