Or English or a British Citizen having parents or parent from another country...but most likely the wife..

I’m solely English – at least if what mater and pater told me was true. My wife isn’t English, and neither were we resident in the UK at the time we posted. We both put applications in – more of a joke than anything else – and she was the one who actually ‘won’. However, as far as I could understand from the gobbledygook in the instructions, my entry was perfectly valid, too.

We certainly had an easy ride getting the visa and GC, although I only realized this after reading the torturous paths of folks on boards like these. Like I suspect many who actually live here, it really was a fluke moving over here – we never planned it or dreamt of it, rather it just happened.
