I had mine assessed by an independent company, and it came back as the equivalent of 3 years of study towards a bachelor of business administration. My degree is a standard Australian 3 year bachelor of commerce.

As does everyone! It's not like you're able to do it yourself.

Great! What leads you to believe that work experience is required to make up the difference? Different visas have different requirements... so while that might be useful for an H-1B visa it's likely not for an E-3.

I have emailed a couple of immigration lawyers this question however they want payment before they will help me which is fair enough so i'm turning to this forum. I'm just after a general consensus of what people think.

I have a question regarding my first E3 (currently on a J1). I have accepted a position as a Communications Assistant at a Non-Profit, I hold a Bachelor of Media. This is a brief job description:

Responsibilities:
• Website: uploads, edits and updates content. Creates forms, updates calendars and works with Mission Advancement on special event registration and promotion.
• Social Media: manages content for all social media platforms . Coordinates campaigns, maintains communication with funded organizations and other provinces and prepares press release/ reports.
• Audiovisual projects: Handles production, editing and promotion of videos, presentations, web albums and promotional videos. Creates DVDs and You-Tube videos and other online media along side the department Director. Films especial events such as workshops, conferences, funerals etc. Webcasts large events and funerals.

Basically I'm looking for what OES title to put on my LCA, would "Public Relations Specialists” fit?

27-3031.00 Public Relations Specialists
Engage in promoting or creating an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations. May write or select material for release to various communications media.
O*Net™ JobZone: 4
Education & Training Code: 5-Bachelor's degree

These are the current Pay Rates
Level 1 Wage:$16.91 hour - $35,173 year

Level 3 Wage:$35.12 hour - $73,050 year
Level 4 Wage:$44.22 hour - $91,978 year

I will be getting paid the level 2 wage.

Thanks

I'm just a little hesitant on the job title having 'Assistant' in it rather than manager/specialist, however i work directly with the director they are next above me and their is no one beside me or below me.

Given the LCA will say Public Relations Specialists, just get them to put that in the cover letter for the job. It's not wrong because that's what the LCA will say.

Does anyone tried to change of employer on e3 thru USCIS. Is there premium processing option available for this. How long was the processing time if tried.
I hv offer from new employer. But dont want to travel out of US due to current immigration situation.

I've tried change of employer / extend of stay on e3 thru USCIS a few times. I did try premium processing once but the check and the PP form (I-907) was returned with a note saying that PP is not available for E-3.

In my experience, it could take USCIS anywhere between 3 months and more than one year to approve it.

In the latest processing time published by USCIS, it would take only one month to approve E-3. I'm filing change of employer in a couple of weeks. I wish it is true.

There is no premium processing available. Expect it to take several months, possibly as many as 6 or more.

Presuming you are Australian born I can't see that the current situation would have any impact, especially for an existing E3 visa holder. If you are a dual citizen/born elsewhere then obviously things might be different.

I have the same question, i am on a E3 visa and have been offered a job while i currently reside on E3 visa with an other employer. I am born in india and so worried that the current situation might effect my application. do you think it will?

If its 3 months, Do we need to wait till the uscis approves the change. or we can move to new employer after filiing the case. Bcos most of the employers dont wait for more than 1 month. Please share your experince.

The employee cannot begin working for the new employer until USCIS approves the petition. There are two exceptions to this requirement -- H-1B and H-2A. Unfortunately, there is no exception for E-3. You can read this USCIS web page.

Hi, I'm Australian passport holder and need to renew my E-3. I am changing my employer and intend to go to mexico city to renew my e-3. Given the current "climate" between US , Australia and Mexico, should I go to Mexico to renew my E-3?
Has anyone been to mexico to renew e-3 in the past couple of days?
