Default Onward Travel to Canada from USA on VWP

Hi,
I've recently booked flights from London to Chicago, where i intend to spend two weeks before moving on to canada for two weeks (overland). i am then due to fly home from Montreal to London.

I have noticed that VWP guidelines say i "must be holding a valid return or onward ticket. Where the ticket terminates in Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or an island in the Caribbean, the traveler must be a legal resident of that country or territory"

Therefore as my onward ticket from the USA (overland) will terminate in Canada am i likely to face a problem with VWP on enrty to the USA??

Thanks guys

From what you've written, it seems your ticket terminates back in London. You've paid for a round-trip London to London "ticket".

The US gov't most likely won't have a problem with your itinerary. It just comes down to if the airline will board you in London under the circumstances you describe.
