I had applied for US immigration in E3 category, through an agency, and received the
file No. from INS in october 2001. I am a Registered Nurse by profession. Recently I
cleared the CGFNS exam. When I call INS to enquire about the status, I am told that
the application is on hold. I requested the agency to refile my application along
with my CGFNS certificate. But the agency is not responding to my request. I have a
couple of questions and would highly appreciate if some one in this NG could answer
my queries.
1.Is it possible to file a new application through another agency, without cancelling
the present application?
2.Does the application gets cancelled automatically after certain period?
3. Can I directly request INS to cancel it, if the agency and attorney are not
willing to cooperate?
