Thanks for the heads up. Noted in my outlook for October 11th. I-140 in process, but always good to have a back-up plan, even if a long shot.

Thanks Ray, saw that the other day and meant to post it.

I'll stick it at the top for you for a bit. Since everyone will be asking.

hi,

I'm new here and got some questions.

I'm a naturalised UK citizen but was born in Indonesia, can I still apply? How about my son, he was born in the UK (which country not qualify), do I include him on the children part

Thanks,

San

Yes. Citizenship doesn't matter, the DV is based on place of birth.

Yes. He qualifies due to "cross-chargeability" to you.

Hi,

If you apply for the DV lottery and then attempt to enter the US under the visa waiver program, could you be considered an intending immigrant? Even if you have return flights, proof of employment in your country of origin etc?

Thanks

Hi,

I have a question on eligibility to the DV Lottery. I have lived in the UK almost all of my life however I was born in United Arab Emirates as my father used to work out there. Am I eligible?

The site is confusing. I have tried looking up my job, I'm a team leader for Barclaycard UK in an office environment. the closest I can see is this:

http://online.onetcenter.org/link/summary/11-3011.00

which says zone 3 - would this make me ineligible as it is not zone 4-5?

Cheers Ian - what about the second part? is it high school diploma within the past 5 years or as long as you have the equivalent OTHERWISE the job related criteria?

I have 10 GCSE's, 2 A-Level's, an A-S level, a trOCN and a few NVQ's so I would assume at least equivalent to a highschool diploma if the former is the case.

have been working for Barclaycard since 2003 and also work as a photographer self employed but that is also a Zone 3

Hi guys,

I just submitted my DV lottery entry for 2012 and just realised I made the biggest mistake ever. I actually submitted a photo of myself that is greater than 6 months old. In fact it is 12 months old and was used last year when i applied for DV Lottery 2011. I am thinking this may be grounds for an instant disqualified application. I know its too late to change anything now but just wanted to know if perhaps i may be over reacting? (wishful thinking on my behalf i know)
