Default Do I have any chance of getting a green card?

My sister is a green card holder, currently living in Portland, ME. I
have a visitor visa valid until 2014. I was a student in Maine in 2000
- 2001. I was wondering if there is any chance that I can get a green
card if I apply for one. If anyone can help, please do. Thanks!

When your sister becomes a citizen, she would be able to apply for your to get an immigrant visa. But the wait in this category is 12+ years. And if you stay in US, you will be illegal.

You cannot apply for a green card yourself, you need basis for that. Green cards could be obtained through employment, green card lottery, marriage or relatives sponsoring you for one.

Visitor visa might be valid for ten years, but you still have to leave whenever the I94 is stamped for, and that would normally be no more than 6 months on that visa, and you wouldn't be able to do anything on it.
I'm presuming you have the B1/2 type visa.
