Default do AOS biometrics expire, or just fingerprints?

I was just wondering if AOS biometrics expire or just fingerprints? My husband had his fingerprints taken again for AOS today but not photograph. He had the AOS photo done in Dec 2003, most recent EAD one in Dec 2004.

Hi:

They both expire. The background checks also expire on a much shorter time frame -- they also can "flip" from "clear" to "pending.

My interview letter doesn't mention about bringing the new immigration style photo. Do I have to bring that. I had my FP & biometrics with ASC, last year after filing for AOS.

Hi Sap,

We brought new immigration style photos to our interview, just in case, but they were not needed. That doesn't mean that you won't need any, though. I'd bring them just in case.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Thanks! Is it usual to get a new appointment letter before the interview, or does one often have to fight for one, like the people here on this forum seem to have to do by getting infopass, etc.?

Everything expires. I did my AOS biometrics in March of 04, and I just got a letter from CIS asking me to attend another biometrics session on the 26th, just two weeks before my AOS interview in August.

I'll wager the prints won't have cleared by the time the interview comes around.
