Question Direct Phone # to Service Centers: are they coming up anytime soon?

AILA has commented not long ago that USCIS is trying to re-establish phone lines so applicants can call and ask questions from the Service Center where their file is being adjudicated...however, many months have gone by and this lines have not been re-restablish, anybody knows if this will ever happen?

when we know, you'll know. But prior to the 1-800 fiasco, the numbers that were available were virtually useless. If you were able to get through to a service center it was either an automated system or if you were lucky enough after 90 minutes to get a live operator you didn't get told much. So re-establishing the former existing lines would be putting the general public right back where they were before ... square -5.
