Re: DH applying for Citizenship
Today DH got a Form I-797C Notice of Action. It says:
After rereading it a couple of times we have determined that "please verify..." just means read it over and see if it's correct, not get in touch with someone to say yes it's right. So now the waiting part begins.
I need to look up what exactly the biometrics thing is. Anyone been through it recently?
The above application has been received by our office and is in process. Our records indicate your personal information as follows:

So it's just fingerprinting? No medical component like for the visa, right?

Thanks Rene!
DH got a letter yesterday, his biometrics appointment is Monday June 3rd. That's a lot quicker than we expected. I'm going to take the day off work to watch the baby so DH can run up there by himself.

If that is not convenient, many offices allow walk in biometrics anytime as long as the person has an appointment letter.

Huh, really? Interesting! He's a stay at home dad so I'll need to take the day off no matter which day he goes, though, but that will be useful for others to know.

Appointment was yesterday and went smoothly. 1 PM appointment, got there at 12 PM (since he had to drive a long time to get there and built in extra travel time), and was seen early and done by 12:30.

Re: DH applying for Citizenship
Yesterday we got a letter telling him a list of what items to bring to the interview. It didn't actually say when the interview appointment would be, so we are guessing that notice will come soon...
Edit - and yes, that arrived the following day (though I don't see the need to bump this thread for it). Appointment is September 26th.
