Default Current RCMP check procedure?

Anyone have any current information on how one goes about gets ones clean bill of
non-criminality from the RCMP?

Timelines on the web indicate that it's quick and easy to get a check for a
nonimmigrant visa, but the RCMP's page doesn't make any such distinction.

And oddly enough, I'd prefer to get it done lickety-split rather than wait for the 60
days the RCMP's page lists.

Augh!

Thanks,

Jim

Depends on what RCMP office you are using. Just walk on in and them that you need a police clearance check because you are marrying a Yank and need it for the US Consulate interview for your K-1. They will know what to do. In most instances the process will either be done that day or within a few days of your filling out the paperwork. Some RCMP offices will ask for fingerprinting and if that is the case, it will take longer but most just do a name search.

Just go to your Local RCMP and tell them that you need a police certifacate and they
will do it right there while you wait.
