Crossing the border
I just got my K-1 visa earlier this week. I posted my experience on www.kamya.com if anyone would like to read it.
The next hurdle is getting to Texas. I called INS at Toronto airport on two separate occasions. The first time I was told that they do not issue a work authorization stamp. The second time, a different person said that they issue an I-94 which says "Work Authorized" on it.
I called Ambassador Bridge on separate occasions. Each time they said that the stamp says "Work Authorized".
Does anyone have experience with with this Pearson airport? Is it possible for different POE's to issue different stamps?
I guess my main question is, If I fly from Pearson airport, is it possible that I won't get work authorization?
I have already checked the POE exit website, which doesn't help me much.
