consulate interview
what sort of questions are asked at the consulate interview (in Sydney if possible)...eg i don't see the reason why, but will they ask how much i, as the alien fiancee, earn?
we will have all the necessary proof of the relationship, probably too much! :) but was just wondering about the actual 'formalities' or do i seem to be worrying unnecessarily? |
Re: consulate interview

Re: consulate interview
Hey Len, don't sweat it. If you've got all your paperwork in order and ample relationship proof you really won't have a problem. They may ask something like what you fiancee does for a living kind of thing. We did ours in South Africa and it was very smooth, and from what I've read, Australia seems to be similarly laid back, for what it's worth...Good Luck. Jerry + Paula

Re: consulate interview
My fiance was interviewed in Montreal last week. I don't know about Australia, but
they asked him the following questions: Have you lived anywhere other than Canada since age 16? How and when did you meet your fiancee? When did you start getting serious? Do you see each other often? (he kinda answered this himself, noting we don''t live that far apart) What do you do for a living? What does your fiance do for a living? Where you born in Canada? The whole thing took five minutes, including the paper-shuffling and the oath. Don't worry!
