Concurrent processing of I-140 and I-485 question

I know that if you file I-140 and I-485 together, it is called
concurrent processing. What if I file I-140 first, then I-485 at a
later time while I-140 is still being processed? Is this still
considered concurrent processing or separate? My wife will be taking a
couple of months vacation and my LC might come out when she's away. Is
it better to wait for her and apply I-140 and I-485 at the same time
or apply I-140 first then I-485 when she returns to the US.
Thanks

It is much better to wait and file both together. Otherwise, who knows
what USCIS will do with the case? Generally, they like the most
straightforward cases.
