Default Citizenship - Parking Ticket

I am a GC holder and planning to apply for citizenship in the next year or
so, as soon as I meet the five year residency requirement.

I was issued a speeding ticket about a year ago. I believe that I have to
declare this on the application for citizenship.

However, I pleaded "not guilty" to the speeding ticket. (I did this because
there is a long back log at the traffic court where I would be called to
appear and the trial date would be set three years in the future. By which
time I would no longer need a car to commute to work and would not have to
pay crazy insurance premiums in the interim.)

So my question is, when I declare the speeding ticket and declare that the
trial is pending, will a "pending trial" reflect badly, even though it is
for a traffic infraction?

Thanks for your help!

You're not pending trial, you're awaiting a disposition. Either way, if speeding meant that you didn't have good moral character, then almost noone would be naturalized.
