Haha yep this has begun.

Is the end case date pretty accurate online. I know others have said they were earlier, but did that ibclude the case date reflecting it being updated earlier?

Do you eventually get an email saying, there has been an update on your case and it says your interview blah blah has been planned for...?

you do, I used the app which also gave alerts when there was a real status change. When it gives you an alert it will take another day or 2 before the letter with the actual details on it will be posted to your online account.

Last question.. and im sure each case may be different

How much advance notice do they give you before your interview. Ive been learning the civic questions, but wondered how much time to cram at the end.

Thanks

i had about 6 weeks notice. I had the official app on my phone and even before studying was getting a passing score each time (this had out of date answers, so I had to know the one to pass and real one....) The main problem with it is that it only require you to pick the right answer out, “multiple guess” as I call it. In the interview they will ask the questions and you have to recall the only / one of the right answers, it goes without saying, only pick one answer to recall, not multiple. e.g. for the longest river, or states that border x, or 3 of the original colonies etc.

I printed the pdf from online, one of them has a single page with each question on it, I wrote 1 correct answer for each and then studied from that. I was able to pick the 10-15 I did not know anyway and then “cram” them a the night before at the hotel.

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/...components.pdf

For the ones that changes based on elections don’t trust the government websites to have the right information, e.g. my State has not updated the governor... double check these on Google.

At my ceremony even Senator Blumenthal made a point of saying that most Americans would not pass the test. I can see how some applicants would find it harder, but if you are educated to degree level and have english as a first language, you should find it very easy, I was only asked 6 questions and got them all right.

Same here, and they were so easy that I don't even remember what they were 3 weeks later.

I think one was how old a citizen had to be to vote, and the party of the President now, but the rest have vanished

My interviewer got more questions wrong than I did. She got started with the questions by asking "which group of Africans were brought to the US as slaves ?" I smiled and started saying she got the question wrong, when she turned red in the face herself realizing she'd embedded the answer into the question. It was right after lunch so I guess she had a hearty meal...

She was a little flustered because that meant the pre-printed set of 10 questions became just 9 for me to get 6 from, and that was unfair to me, so she started out trying to get the system to print another set. However I said let's just get through the rest, and I got all the next 6 (none of which I remember anymore) right, and she looked distinctly relieved after the last one. Maybe she felt obligated, but she readily agreed to schedule me for a ceremony a week later (as opposed to the default scheduling for the following month) due to upcoming business travel, and I had the approval texts/emails by the time I turned off airplane mode on my phone while walking out of the building, and the oath letter in myaccount by the next morning.
