Chicken Pox
Well we are married! Now on to filing the AOS forms....
When FH got his medical records from the NHS there was no mention of his having had the chicken pox. We figured it would be no problem for him to just get the vaccine when he got here... bit of a mistake we now realise, I called the county health district to find out the cost yesterday... $80 each shot - and he will need 2.
so now I am wondering if it is possible to just do an antibody test of some sort. Has anyone else tried this? Have you been sucessful?
With all the wedding costs, filing fees, and needing 6 ADIT photos we just cant cope with another $160 for shots he doesn't even need!
Any help will be most appreciated.

You can get a blood test for varicella (chicken pox). I had one when I was pregnant. I do not know the cost.

An antibody test will be accepted by the BCIS - at least they accepted it
in my case.
No idea what it would cost though.

thanks for the response! I cant imagine the test will cost $160 though! Then again I didnt think the vaccination would cost that much!
