Default Case number format LIN ???

Hey, just trying to kill some time while waiting for the visa nightmare to be over, hopefully with good results! So I was trying to find a few I-129F case numbers submitted at NSC just before mine in the hope to see them approve, then next see mine approved, and to get a better idea of their progress.

Does anyone know the format for the LIN numbers? My best guess so far is:

LINYYADDBBCCC where

YY = year, such as 04 for 2004
A = unknown
DD = date of month submitted, so if 3/24 then DD=24
BB = not sure, but seems 50-53 have the K visas among other things
CCC = no idea, maybe just a number that increments with each case

I'm just hoping to find an I-129F at NSC submitted March 1 - 20

Thanks!

blue,

Close.

YY = the government's fiscal year
ADD = work day of the year (1 through something less than 365)
BBCCC = a sequential number (don't recall what causes the sequence to be re-initialized).

Regards, JEff
